How to Store Your Coffee

We think of our bags as a vessel to get our great smelling, great tasting coffees from our door to yours. We highly recommend you keep your freshly roasted coffee out of sunlight in an air tight container to help preserve its flavour and aromas.

How should I store my coffee?

Opaque, air tight containers are best. Mason jars are fine as long as they’re kept out of the light.

Does storing coffee in the freezer make a difference?

As long as it’s in an airtight container, keeping your coffee in the freezer is a fine option to maintain its freshness. If it’s not in an airtight container, the coffee will absorb other freezer or fridge odours. Frost-free freezers can rob the moisture from the coffee and give it freezer burn.
